I replaced my clockspring yesterday to fix a lack of cruise. Cruise works fine now and the install went off without a hitch. Only took like 10 min.. thought all was good but now notice I MUST apply brakes when I come to a stop and when I release my truck will get up to 15-20mph with no throttle. Had no idea there was a connection between clockspring and throttle...
will the truck relearn the proper idle? Is there a procedure for this? Is something else wrong?

Did you disconnect the battery? That can cause a high idle while the computer relearns.

It should settle down after a drive cycle or two.
