Hardly worth posting in comparison......coupla small rear lighting updates. 3rd brake light clear housing getting sun baked so going back with another led one with smoked lens and using the flasher that is on the current one. Also ran across some led license plate lights that have a dab of red also. Giving those a try as well......

how much did your engine run, what state did you buy it in, and how many miles on it when you got it… if you don’t mind me asking?

I tried these led 3rd brake lights, they leak, they fade and look cheap! I went with one of these in smoke, installed 3 red led bulbs and have no regrets!

Never had any of those issues....been on the truck for almost 10 yrs. $15 for 10 yrs of service seems just fine. Have clear lens with black housing. Not fond of the chrome housing with clear, red or smoked lens but to each their own. Sure, the Meso $300 one with BD or KC leds in it is dope but a little much just for 3rd brake light for my truck. More suitable for some full tilt mod build.

Now tell me what's wrong with the $10 license plate lights.

it’s a l9H so it’s a 6.2 aluminum block, with the flex fuel injectors(some of the biggest Chevy put on these engines). It was like 4500 with accessories….which I used only the alternator….lol. Then like 2 months later my roommate bought an ls2 for 2500 bucks with 36k miles…..mine had 86k on it or so when I bought it. And picked it up locally in Washington.

 

Nothing wrong with the license plate lights…..have them on mine……the red is real bright, great for collision avoidance, easy install……a Big Mac + Happy meal price.

I've been through 3 different ones over the years and two of them had moisture leaks. When it comes to these cheaper ones, I take the head light approach and add a little silicone on the seams and gasket.

I have a extra one that I don't need if you want it. Just pay cover shipping
