I have never seen a race start of any kind that had only one car lined up. Bizarre day.

Beautiful recovery from Hamilton and his strategy folks, excellent call from Sainz to stay out, and most of all WOW Alpine -- French driver wins in a French car. They must be over the moon. Alonso did a masterful job on ancient tires. And Russell comes 9th to get his first points. Gotta love wet races, even if they're only wet for one lap.

 

I had Russel on one of my screens and my jaw dropped when he came into the pit to swap wets for slicks, then left his pit box and went to the front of the line Latifi gained 3 places in the same maneuver but got away with it!

It was really weird seeing Lewis on the grid for the restart on his own without any friends. Random... but had me laughing so much

Anyone have any hot sports opinions on Nico’s job as commentary for today’s GP? Not sure how many of these he’s done, but he just didn’t sound comfortable in the booth.

He's okay, he does bring insight to a race with his inside knowledge the talking heads might not have.

 

I thought Rosberg was OK in commentary , still prefer Martin Brundle though
