I posted here a while back about wanting a truck, and my searching paid off. Ended up with a beautiful, 2 owner (same family), '04, V6, 5 speed, TRD Off-Road. 182k miles, lot of tasteful mods. Very excited to start enjoying it.

    Also while I'm here:
    1) My cruise control doesn't work. It will turn on the main and it says it sets, but doesn't actually set or hold speed.
    2) A/C blows ice cold 100% of the time, but turning A/C off and moving dial to heat just gives mildly warm air, nothing that would actually heat you up.
If anyone has some ideas on those, it'd be much appreciated!!

I love the community here so I'm glad to truly feel part of it now.

    Welcome to TW, Noah!

First thought on the no heat is you might have a plugged heater core.

Clean the HVAC box and check the blend door and actuator. Make sure the heater core valve is working. It's on top middle of firewall under hood

Congratulations and welcome! Your cruise control issue is very likely related to your taillight wiring. Search around tw and the answer will become clear.

Forgot to clarify there, the last owner had it checked out and his mechanic wasn't able to figure out what it was, but he did single out the heater core so it's not that.

Will look into these, thank you!

These LED taillights I have also seem to be causing problems with my trailer 4-pin and they have a rapid flash and a bunch of weird quirks to them, so I wouldn't doubt if they were my cruise control issue. I wouldn't have connected the 2 on my own so thx for mentioning that!

yeah mine was missing the motor for the heat/ac actuator.

Mine was marked by the PO, I can get a picture of which side is which for you in a little bit.

The last owner did have the flares painted when the whole truck was painted, yes!
