    Most hot water heaters die from neglect. Few ever drain the sediment off the bottom of tank types. This results in hot spots and under deposit corrosion.

    Those with hard water, this goes for tank and tankless, rarely chemically clean them to remove the scale that forms. So you guessed it hot spots and tank/tube failures.

    On the fire side of gas heaters, how many of you have ever cleaned your burner to insure even burning?
