Agree, limited should have full time 4x4, leather heated and cooled seats, and all tech packages

I resemble these snarky remarks. Bought my ‘13 Limited, Spruce Mica, 4 months ago…1st truck. DCSB. Yes it’s got chrome but I don’t give a shit. Been enjoying the hell out of it. Just drive it around town so far. It’s got the 6 cyl 4.0, a freaking beast if you ask me. So go ahead and pile on now if you wish. I’ll still enjoy driving it around.

Now being an old fart, I saw a beautiful black 3rd Gen across from my daughter's house. I have a 2nd gen black OR with chrome bumpers. I kept looking at it wondering why it looked so much better. It was a limited with all the extra chrome. I really liked it and it's on my list to consider when I buy me another Tacoma.

As already stated, going from a Pro or fully optioned OR (2018 and newer) to a Limited is actually a bit of a downgrade.

i got my 18 limited last year cause i was able to get it cheaper then the 4x4 sport, OR, and Pro... i can live with all the chrome but hate the stock JBL system and dont care for the moonroof (never use it anyways)... but i do use the heated seats...

It's funny, I was just thinking about this earlier today when I was driving home from the desert and had a Limited Taco following me for a bit and was wondering about the difference between my OR and a Limited. It sounds like for the way I use my Taco the OR was a better choice.

I almost bought a Limited... but I saw all the chrome then went with the Sport instead. I don't have leather or the moonroof but I do have a cool hood scoop and $5k in my pocket. :bananadance:

    Bingo.
Without knowing the actual numbers/ratios, it's obvious Toyota builds much fewer limited vs TRD, SR5 & SRs. But with Limiteds your only option is bed length and therefore easier to match an allocation (if your dear has one).

I find it funny all the people here shitting on the Limited. It was all of 200 dollars to change the grill and bezels around the fog lights. I got the moonroof, heated seats and JBL sound system in my 2019 that I wanted.. Im glad mine doesn't have that hood scoop . Love it. And it rides shockingly like a truck. To each their own I guess...:crapstorm:

My off-road has all those options as the limited. Plus all the off-road goodies. I guess if you like chrome, ugh. Didn’t know that was still a thing

To be fair, I've had a '99 SR5 & now have a '17 SR5 and I dig the level of chrome on them. More, not so much. But that is MY opinion and we know that saying. If I could have ordered a TRD premium/tech w/ chrome bumper caps I would have.

If you have or like 3 or more of the above items, then the Limited is the truck for you!

Limited isn't worth it if you can barely afford it. Its just chrome

Wow, what's with all the Limited bashing in this thread.
The Limited is for an entirely different market than off roading.
I went from a 2019 Sport to a 2021 Limited Nightshade and the ride is much more comfortable, especially on the highway. Granted, I don't off road. That's a need for a different vehicle entirely.
For the sake of this forum, please realize this.

If you're wanting a fully loaded Tacoma and you don't go off road, I could see the Limited being a good option. Not everyone wants or needs the features of the OR and not everyone likes the scoop on the Sport. Even though Toyota builds fewer Limiteds, it may still be easier to find one of those, rather than trying to find a TRD model with the same features. Limiteds come standard with LED headlights, heated leather seats, JBL, advanced tech package, and plenty of chrome. Of course, you can get the Nightshade and not have all that chrome. Someone posted a Limited Nightshade in Windchill Pearl in another thread and it was a damn good looking truck.

Why does Toyota make a Limited Tacoma? I don't know. It's almost like Toyota believes that people have different wants, needs, desires. Weird right? o_O

well black out chrome deletes were the move til OEMs started selling tf out of them. The tables have turned.

but idk I think it also has a bit to do with owning a SR where everything is black. All the chrome looks fancy af.

I still can't figure out why Toyota put a chrome Grill on a Off Road Taco. WTF where they thinking? :crapstorm:
