lol I don’t think any limited owner is going to deny it’s a fully loaded SR5. But it is fully loaded and that’s why the price is higher than a base off road or sport. Besides everything that’s included in a tech package, you also get a brown leather excluded from the other trims, door sill protectors, tri fold tonneau, the fold down bed step, the all weather floor mats, but for some reason not a bed mat. And in Canada we don’t get the 18’s for some reason. I think they do now with the night shades but the early models got the sport wheels.

In my case I got my truck a year and a half old for a much better price than a used off-road or sport. I like the interior but not the chrome exterior but it’s all gone now.

Totally agree it should be more like the 4R. I also have a 4R limited and the full-time 4x4 is great in the winter for mixed road conditions.

I got a limited 2 months ago because I wanted leather and liked the cement Gray color plus there weren’t very many options at the time. Bought new wheels and tires and almost have the chrome completely eliminated as well as a pro grille. Here is a before/after pic https://imgur.com/a/NL0HfFq

It was the first part I ordered on my 2016. It almost seemed intentionally bad, but the heritage grill wasn't even out yet.

I think the other reason why people buy the limited is for the optional hickory interior. I've seen lots of chome-deleted Limited's on here.

Why buy a limited Tacoma when you can just buy a Honda Ridgeline. They're serving the same customer base, but the Honda is going to be a better "truck in name only."

Does the AARP card come standard with all that chrome?

I had it thrown in when I bought my Taco. They actually gave me my chrome grill in a box too. Lucky for me, I sold it for $75

Silver Limited 4X4 with a black interior - I might have bit.
As far as chrome, my SSM OR has a chrome rear bumper. Doesn't bother me at all.

I went from a TRD off road to a Limited and I love it. My my off road was a 2015, and I just bought a 2021 Nightshade edition. The amount that I drive off road is minimal but I do camp, drive through some rough roads, etc so I need the 4x4. I wanted something with a little smoother ride but I also wanted all the creature comforts. I despise all the chrome so if I couldn't get the Nightshade edition it would have been something else fully loaded.

    A few.
The Limited trim tacomas have become a little less unique than they were a couple years ago. It used to be when buying a trd pro it would give u the interior of the limited with off road features of the trd offroad and then some. Now u can get the leather interior on the sport and offroad.

Ive seen a few limiteds in my area and usually liked the looks of them, especially the nightshades but they seem to be even less available than the trd pros im my area.

If a smoother ride was what you were after in a 3rd Gen then the Off Road would have been the better choice.

Soo you can get the limited door handle in black now instead of chrome? That’s sweet, I used vinyl on mine but might look up the part number for those ones.

I tried an OR on the highway and it wasn't nearly as smooth.

The limited with its sporty suspension and low profile tires would be better for spirited driving versus the Off Roads softer cushy ride.

I don't know, I test drove both and like the ride of the Limited better, but neither is no Escort EXP

The OR had a stiffer suspension. I felt every irregularity in the road.
