So I just bought my first Taco!

I'm kind of a moron, but the engine seems to have a tilt to it? Towards the passenger side. The engine mounts appear to be okay, but there is a bit of rust on this sucker. It did have frame replaced by Toyota from recall.

Anyways, just wondering if this is normal or atypical so I know how to proceed.

Also, I'm new, and I know people get weird about etiquette and sh!t on these forums, so lemme know if I'm doing something gross by posting this and I'll make the necessary changes to fit in I guess lmao

PS: very back bolt hole is cracked on the Valve cover and appears to be making a tiny leak. Is this common?

Tilt is normal. Now the value cover is cracked for sure. You’ll need a new gasket either way, because yours is leaking. Very normal from the 4 cyl

    Thank you good sir!

Also, I seem to have an exhaust leak, but I'm not savvy enough to figure out exactly where from. Any tips on how to locate it?

Why do you think exhaust? Do smell oil when you first start it?

    I

I can hear it.. it's definitely an exhaust leak. There's a bit of an oil smell when I crank it up, yes. Also, it's throwing a code for o2 sensor.

I'm in SC, but I just bought the truck from north east TN. So there is a bit of rust.

Yea yours has a good bit more rust than my 2006. You can get a smoke machine and blow smoke from the end of the exhaust and find it that way.

Might wanna check the coolant bypass hose and make sure you have one made from steel, I’m not sure what year they stopped making them from plastic.

All the research I've done on these things over the past few weeks, never knew that was an issue. Thanks for heads up brother
