My Lord, did that guy bath in grease and then roll around in the truck? Don't understand why people won't clean their vehicles up when they list them for sale, let alone take pictures of them.

As far as the truck, as long as the previous owners weren't beach bums, being in Florida that truck should be relatively rust free. That takes away almost a dozen issues with those trucks. Do have to watch head gaskets. If I was a bettin' man I'd say that thing is on its way for needing it done.

Bathe in grease and roll around in the truck because I noticed too. I keep our vehicles clean pretty good job. Only bad thing is for anyone a non smoker they probably smells like a ashtray just the same.

 

Glad @tirediron posted some great things to check though. I personally think that's a huge step back in years. 9 year older truck?
I guess if you like and approve of the modifications done, and just wanting the different model. I think that I'd be waiting until things normalize in the market. Your Tacoma will still have good resale value and you could get something newer in what you want.

 

This!! I got out of there at noon so 6 hours ot.
Stopped by friends place and helped him hook up and get his new lift chair in place and operational.
Got home, napped a hour...naps are good.
Now going to pull some weeds, round-up some others and get some kroil soaking on tie rod ends on daughters Jeep.
Then see if that movie ever downloaded.

 

@wilcam47, when I was doing some maintenance on the wifes Tacoma yesterday she came around the corner and caught me chuckling to myself. I told her was just remembering that, hey guuuuys!

That fit into the conversation quite well for sure. There's actually a limit for radiation exposure for a woman pregnant. And that's really no joking matter actually. The radiation has more effect on the unborn and younger children than adults.
There's a limit for all workers actually and administrative limits are usually one fifth of what the government allows.

That's good to know. One of the reviews on Amazon said that they burned up two of the replacements until they bought a stator kit to go along with it. If it doesn't last I'll break out the factory service manual and look into that in more detail.

 

Something similar happened to a friend in his 1984 (I know it was one of the last solid axle truck so could have been a 85) he fell asleep and truck rolled forward into a lake. He woke up with water coming in and escaped out the rear sliding window.

 

I better get plucking some weeds. It's super nice weather for a few days here, much lower humidity.

 

If he is stepping back for a while, he should post just that on his, THIS thread. JMO.
