just curious on thoughts when a old tread is resurrected and a comment added whether you like it or should a new thread be started? i am on a E-bike forum and a rule is do not resurrected old threads. When i look on the forum i am only looking at recent threads, not interested in a thread that originated in 2017.

People typically resurrect old threads because there’s something that’s useful in the present. They don’t just do it for fun. Seems like a silly rule.

So it’s ok if a thread from 2017 has been continuously in action since then? But not if there was a gap?

    Again, silly.

Nothing wrong especially if its relevant.

Big thing is to start with "bumping an old topic" etc so you don't get flamed.

Honestly as long as you aren't asking "biggest tire" or "what lift" we are usually very cool

To be fair, I'd probably prefer that people that kept bumping the same tire/lift threads rather than getting five new threads every day asking the exact same question.
