I’m looking to take my new Taco off road and I need a buddy to go with! I’m in Alpharetta. I can do something on a Saturday or Sunday. Any takers?

Best bet is to post here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ga-weekly-getting-outdoors.596215/ or https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ga-tacoma-owners-bs-thread.17642/

Do you have a trail in mind that you want to run? I'm not familiar enough with Alpharetta, but you'll need to plan to drive at least an hour if it is anything like the rest of ATL metro.

Oh, and welcome to TW! Come introduce yourself in the BS tread linked above.

    Thanks for the tip!

At some point I’d like to try Beasley Knob (if someone else has done it) / but honestly I’m not sure where to go. Happy to do an all day affair and drive anywhere. I’m north of Atlanta and it isn’t too bad to get up to the mountains.

Beasley Knob is an animal. You'll need to get some seat time and some armor before I'd try that

What are you wanting to do/ How much damage are you willing to incur? Ok with getting stuck?

There are lots of fun trails with technical sections, but some are narrow and will pinstripe your truck or put you at risk for more damage. I'm down to run those trails, otherwise I can point you towards some of the tamer stuff that can be done with minimal risk, and you can work your way up as you get comfortable.

Awesome - yeah I think I'm okay with getting stuck occasionally (as long as I can hook a strap to a vehicle or winch a tree). As you say, I think it's smart to start with something a little tamer.
