Hey guys, I just bought an Andersen WDH recently and am in the process of getting it hooked up to my travel trailer.

Dumb question here...I see that the rack for the ball housing has two holes (on the right of this picture) to pin it in the receiver. Does it matter which hole I use? I would prefer to have the trailer farther from the back of the truck, i.e. use the hole closest to the end of the hitch on the right of this picture, but I'm not sure if it's better to pin it closer since the hitch applies some torque to the receiver. Both positions fit in the Tacoma receiver fine. This is a 3rd gen btw.

Thoughts? The manual says nothing about this. I also reached out to Andersen but no reply yet.

You should be able to stick your pin into either hole...:laser:

I put it in wherever is best for what you're towing.

So there’s absolutely no difference for the truck?

I wouldn’t assume any difference for a “normal” hitch, but since these things do fancy physics on the truck, just wanted to be thorough.

It's adjustable so you can tow whatever at the proper height and space from the bumper... I'm sure the closer the load to your back tires the better but if it's gonna hit your bumper that's no bueno

I've ran mine (Andersen wdh) in both and didn't notice a difference.
