Hey guys, just wondering if your considering making a red lens for the S1 suitable to be used as a rear facing fog light? I know Hella make rear fog lights (I have them), but I would like to keep all my aux lights on my Tacoma from BD.

Simple to make a bracket to mount it on the rear of the Tacoma and would make driving in heavy fog or rain a whole lot safer from possible rear end collision. Not sure why rear fog lights are not a standard thing in North America. The S1 would be perfect for this application.

You can see the Hella lamp on the left rear below the bumper on the SC below...

    Hello,

Thanks for asking. We do not have any plans for S1 color lenses at the moment, however we do offer Red, Amber, Blue, Green lenses for the S2 Sport.

The S1 is a great light, but a bit too bright for this type of application. I have the Amber S2 Sport on my 4Runner and find it to be a great fit. Let me know if you think any of the solutions below might be a good fit?

i know this is an old thread but yesterday I got an email asking about using the red spot S2 for a fog light and was told it is on 89 candela. Is that right, seems awfully low since the minimum cd spec for a rear fog is 80cd.
