I'm looking for an under the dash switched power fuse to tap into so I can hardwire my dash cam. I did some research and saw that the cigarette lighter fuse was supposed to work but that turned out to be false. I've been searching all over Google but still no luck. Thanks in advance!

A $6 DVM or a test light will help you find one.

Are you looking for switched ACC, or switched IGN?
I have my compass/temp mirror hooked to switched ACC with a fuse tap.

if you have an auto dimming / backup camera mirror you can tap into a switched 12v up in the overhead console for a super clean install, thats what i did for my cam.

I used fuse #5 to tap into. It helped that #4 isn't used and is unpopulated. The fuse tap I used blocks #4

Do you have the connector for it there? Most do, it has a 12v ignition wire.

You might take the 5 min to poke your head above the overhead console (I think it's like 2 screws to get it all out) the connection for the mirror might be there!

1 screw behind the rear sunglass holder, the front is 2 clips.
