How’s your driving style? If you do a fair amount of highway How does it feel? Over geared? Did your mileage tank worse?

Around town you really don’t notice much difference other then the truck just runs much better. I loss 1 MPG maybe still getting 15 MPG

On the Highway the truck works really well and moves right along, doesn’t Down shift at all. However it is running at about 2800 RPM 70 MPH which is a little high. I’ve just dropped my speed down to 65 and the engine is about 2400/2500. Still getting close to 15MPG

Recently I hauled a small U haul trailer with a full bedroom set in it from Southern Maine to Northern Maine 5 hours one way. I ran on the Highway at about 60-62ish and Still avg 14.5 mpg. However coming hauling the same trailer empty at 70/72 yeah 12MPG :-(

How much Highway do you do and how fast? Is your truck a daily driver along with a weekend warrior?

This is my daily. I have a short commute to work. When I do hit some dirt it’s usually desert runs. I usually keep it between 65-70 or so on the highway. Snapped this of my scan gauge while cruising to Sedona. On a good week I average around 260/280 a tank. 6EC6A8D2-FE09-4F69-964B-4A0E5D7774B2.jpg

I'm on 35s now with 4.88s. I do a ton more highway driving than I initially thought I'd be doing, plus I moved to Texas from Colorado. Nonetheless, I have 30k miles with 4.88s and I'm satisfied. I get around 12-14mpg and I normally drive 75mph on the highway at around 2800rpm. A little high, but just keep up with engine preventative maintenance and you should be good to go. Tons of low end torque, great for off-roading. Also for towing, no issues getting up to speed. I hauled 6,000lbs from CO to the east coast and it was a breeze. I'd add that I put in an auxillary trans cooler as well so my trans doesn't get above 185 degrees anymore, even when towing in 105 degree heat

Side Note: I have basically the same truck, stock gears with 33's. In overdrive, truck would downshift going over overpasses. After adding headers and better air filter, truck doesn't downshift in those situations anymore. I vote narrow 35's and 4.56.

What headers are you running? Any issues with CEL or are you running anti-foulers?
