    Anyone recommend a competent shop in/near the Capital District in Upstate NY to balance my 4runner wheels on my 2nd gen Taco, please anyone, there has to be someone . . . I can't be the only fool dealing with this issue here.
    Thanks.

    I'm also in upstate NY and just had Toyota try and balance my wheels. I had dropped the truck off to have a bunch of stuff done, when they called me and said they were having trouble balancing my wheels...they said they were unable to road force balance them so they resorted to regular spin balance. Got the truck back with a sh$t load of weights on the wheels and it still shakes at around 50 mph. I have crappy tires on there so that may be part of the problem, but was thinking the same as you....I need a competent shop that can do it right!

    That looks like a great place but it's a bit of a hike from the Capital Region!

    I've had good luck in the past with Grand Premier in East Greenbush but I just had my SCS Ray 10's mounted and balanced with Toyo AT 3's at Ferra's in Wynantskill with good results.

    A little of this and a little of that.
    @lynyrd3 Any recommendations?

    I’m a former Upstate NY guy, but I was closer to South Main Auto Repair in Avoca than you guys over in the Capital District. (That’s a great YT channel BTW)

    My only suggestion is to make sure that the wheels are clean. I know how the winter crud builds up on the inside of the wheel and can cause balance issues.

    All good replies and helpful thank you
    Hey 2001 4x4 what dealer did you use
    I have no problem doing some miles to get decent results
    I’ll check out Ferras, not heard of them thou.
    I do know about Grand Premire. I’m thinking they deal with everything custom so maybe a good place to go

    I used New Country Toyota. I’m hoping to get some new wheels/tires by fall and I will not be going to a Toyota dealer to have them mounted!;)
