What is my 2017 OR Worth

*I love my Tacoma, I’m not selling mine; about to finish my Dobinson lift and will be posting on that shortly, with thank you’s to all who helped me here. My dad copied me with the exact same 2017 OR crewcab a few months after I got mine he liked it so much. He now has his eyes on the 2022 Tundra (which looks sexy as hell). So he wants to know what his truck is worth in this crazy market.

I’m hoping I can get some realistic private party price estimates for his rig.
- 2017 Tacoma OR crewcab
- basically stock, I’ve installed a locking tailgate, tonneau cover, and wet Okole seat covers for him
- truck is babied - seriously never been offroaded (nor does he even know what crawl/mts is let alone how to engage it)
- 45k miles, no scratches, no dents, gunmetal paint, waxes and vacuums obsessively (wish I was as good as he is with mine)

Thoughts on price? Thank you in advance for any info! In this market I know he is best served selling private party as opposed to dealer trade in.

It would depend on where you are. Check your local area for comps. No one can give you this answer. 1 day it might be 2k more than the next and vice versa.

See what the dealer offers... Not sure what state youre in but a lot of time you only pay taxes on the difference between the trade and new car price. Factor that in plus the trade amount and see if private sale is worth it to you. Really simple...
