I am looking into maybe doing that.
I would want to then cover up the existing hole somehow.
For drilling a new hole, the space there has two materials. The bed (Black part that you see) and then the blue(blue truck) metal sheet behind it. The edge of that sheet runs exactly in the middle of that hole. Though, there is space behind to put a nut to keep it in place and then having a big washer would be the play.

I'll probably just hold off on this for now until I decide what to do exactly.

2013 tundra sure Ain’t pretty! It’s been off road most of its life but the payload of the 8 foot box at work is indispensable specially just tossing in a canoe or a couple of kayaks.

There’s a Good deal on a mint Condition one on Kijiji I saw.

My opinion is that the 3rd Gen Tacoma factory intake is already a cold air intake. If your looking for more intake noise, maybe a little gas mileage/power increase then it’s a good option.

If your looking for a cheaper option you can do the flow accelerator mod with a trd performance filter or KN filter. It will give you close to the same effect.

    Well both kind of.
    Here is where I'm at.
My back ground is all GM...so cut to the quick...best LS/Ecotec 5.3 intake is this...stock air box in those trucks flow like crazy...problem is the tube. After market intake tube with stock air box and an aftermarket dry filter and she's done.
The stock tube are cavernous ducts of plastic trying to make everything so quiet.
Add a tune and exhaust and your easy 40hp...cam and longtubes and and some valve work and your well north of 500 hp.
Now obviously I can't expect that out of a 3.5 V6 but hey ill throw into it what I can.
    So...any suggestions?

Already has a cai. You ain't getting any more HP and you ain't getting any more noise. And even if you did, it's still going to sound like a v6. $2k of performance mods might get you 10hp

I found these great relay sockets on digikey.ca
They interconnect making them easier to mount and organize.
They cost about the same as the ones you would buy off Amazon, but digikey seems to source better quality suppliers. No import fees to Canada and in Canadian pricing.

    The parts breakdown (Per Relay):
    Plastic Relay Socket - Part #: PB1317-ND - $2.10
    Terminal Connectors - Part #: A131056CT-ND - $.22-.27ea (4 required)
    Relay 40A/30A - Part # 2449-A21CSQ12VDC1.6-ND - $2.91
    Total $5.89 / Relay

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
My butt dyno tells me this improved my acceleration and sounds cool once you hit 3000rpm.
