I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD 4x4, Super white paint. Recently, I noticed the paint is flaking off around the windows. I took it to Toyota and they said the Super white and Pearl white has had issues with paint flaking, but the Tacoma was not listed for the issue. Toyota is not taking responsibility but for certain makes and models Toyota is repairing under a customer satisfaction program. But like I said the Tacoma is not listed. Has anyone else had this problem? If so any suggestions? If anyone is having this issue like me, I can only suggest calling customer care and reporting it often as possible until Toyota takes responsibility! There is no way the paint should be flaking off as it is.

Call Toyota. The only way they will issue a TSB on the paint is if enough people document the issue. 3rd gen guys are having the same issue as well.

I have been calling a couple times a week. But their answer is the same, there are not enough issues with the Tacoma to warrant repairing. I agree with you and I will continuing to pester them and hope more people will do the same. Thanks for your response.

Welcome to TW. There's a few threads on here about paint issues with these trucks, do a cursory search and see for yourself.

If your only intent in joining TW is to start a campaign to rally the masses against the corporate mothership...best of luck with that. Most of the sheeple here are far too pre-occupied with debating oil grades, tire size, oil/air filters, suspension lifts, "Friday threads" and that pesky frame rust issue. You'll get some fellow pitchfork & torch wavers, sure, but I wouldn't expect to change Toyota's mind with the little traction you're going to get from here. I hope I'm wrong though, and hope you get your truck fixed for free.

You should write to Scotty Kilmer about this issue. Seems like he likes to piss off auto manufacturers - hell, he’s made a career out of it lol.

Just tell him to look up the posts on this forum. It’s absurd Toyota will cover this issue on other vehicles and exclude the Tacoma.
