Just think about how this improves your life or advances yourself as a person to dwell on it.

If it doesn't then move on as its not worth your time.

He probably wasn't even concerned about your non foreign, north American truck. He probably just wanted to stop you and let you know he was drunk.

The casualties of any war are devastating. WW2 had its share of particularly bad events.

Truth be known. The Tokoyo fire storm set off by American bombs killed more people than both Nagasaki and Hiroshima together. Yes, Pearl Harbor was attacked. We placed all American-Japanese into internment camps. Many actions on BOTH sides. We occupied Japan for many years post war to assist the rebuild and establish a government.

Literally, 1000's of American jobs are provided by Japanese auto manufacturing plants scattered throughout the USA.

I had a '07 Corolla built in Fresno, CA. My '06 Tacoma was built in the USA. Wife's '19 Honda CRV was built in USA.

That man was an ignorant fool. Best not to have words with a drunk, ignorant fool. Just leave.

I try to follow the example of my mini-schnauzer. "If you can't eat it or play with it, then pee on it and walk away."

Stupid drunks are going to be stupid drunks. Probably lives a shit life and that's the best he gets. Realize how fortunate you are not to be like him and move on. Some folks aren't worth the second thought.

Oh, and just for historical accuracy, wars don't start in a bubble. Japan didn't just wake up one morning and decide to go step in poo. For anyone with a interest in the US involvement in Asia and how things led up to the wars there, a couple of good reads for you:

More than likely that induhvidual is carrying a cell phone made in China and watching a Samsung TV from Korea that was made in China. And shops at Walmart where very little is made in the USA.

Lol. My Japanese truck was built by American Union workers at the NUMMI plant in California. His American truck was probably built in Canada or Mexico. I haven't had it happen but I've expected it for the 14 yrs I've owned it.

Yeah, the USA was meddling with Japan prior to the attack on Pearl.

We unofficially had P-40 Warhawks fighting in Chinese skies defending against Zeros. Plus DC-3s flying over the Himalayas delivering food, ammo and assorted cargo. If I recall my history, this began in '39 or shortly after.

Reasons like this are why I keep a case of eggs in my vehicle at all times. Maybe he was just hungry.

The guy was just a drunk idiot who has no knowledge of history.
Bet he owned more things made in Communist China than made in the U.S.A.

Hell with people like that. If he couldn't comprehend that you displaying the American flag is a sign of patriotism, then you spending any time trying to explain it to him would be an complete waste of time.

I was born in Canada :canada:

But l love the U.S.A. :oldglory:

Luckily, things took a positive (and perhaps ironic) turn; I ended up helping a motorist in need out in the spectator lot when their American-made Pontiac had a dead battery, and I gave them a jumpstart with my Japanese truck!
