2011 SR5 manual trans “buzz”

Hey guys… I experienced this with my old Ranger as well…

Manual 5 sp trans.
230k miles
2011 SR5

Whenever I’m in gear and I let off the gas pedal, I get this rattle/buzz or almost a rough “winding down” type of sound. Only experienced this with older vehicles.
When I’m moving and shift to neutral, the sound goes away.
Anyone know what it is? Because I have never known.
Is it something I should be worried about?

I should say that this sound only started after a rainy day, driving along and my traction control kicked in. My check engine light and trac control light both came on and are still on. They won’t go away. Maybe the sensor but I’m not sure.

I should say the buzz is more like a rapid clicking. Kind of like a locust sound… kind of. And generally it only does this for the first couple minutes before warm up.
