So we have been planning a trip from Phoenix to lake Powell for a year. Last year there, was on 9/11. Lake has gone down very far in 20 years. First year for the grandkids. My 2019 Sport pulled our 20' Stingray up the hill without an issue. Stopped at Walmart for groceries. Frecking truck would not restart and keep running. Would crank and run while chocking at no more than 1500 rpm, then dies. The damn thing only has 17K miles on it. This totally screws my trust in Toyota. Called my local dealer guy and he tells me, disconnect the battery and try again. Did not work. It is 110 degrees, fresh food in the back, 3 miles from the houseboat and launch ramp, and the Damn thing is dead in the water........ @#$%^&.

No Toyota dealer in Page, AZ. None closer than Flagstaff. I fixed the problem by trading it in at the Page Ford dealer for a Ranger. Actually pulls the boat better than the Taco. Sad to say, but completely lost confidence in the Toyota product line.

Sorry to hear about that, I have a 19 as well. Did you ever find out what the issue was? How did your trade process work if your 19 was a none runner?

    Good luck with the Ranger.

So you are under warranty, it'll cost you nothing to fix it, [probably heat related], you could have called UBER/Taxi whatever to get you there. You could have asked the store to keep your food in the cold storage area for a bit and they would likely have gladly helped you and you did the most expensive thing possible.........

    OK...............

When your Ranger dies, is Chevy or Nissan next?

I will say I hate that Toyota really limits dealers because it's a PITA and it makes me think about moving away from them because it's such a pain to bring mine to any of them. It's pretty much a 1/2 day at the least, all day at the worst.
