I think someone swapped in some 2020 seats? I don’t know if it was successful and it was super fucking expensive

I take long trips on occasion for work, and find the seat a little hard on my aging butt during those long drives. I bought this cushion for an office chair and on my last trip threw it in the drivers seat and it was a much more comfortable ride:

I have something very similar, (Purple seat Cushion) takes a little bit of getting used to sitting higher than normal but a total hip back butt game changer on long hauls.

I've had them for 2 yrs or so and really like them. Both my dad and I have 2nd gen sport tacos, and I definitely feel a difference hopping back and forth between the 2.

I built my own of those, and ripped them out after 1 ride. The seats already have to much foward lean, dont want more. The desert does it spacers go under the front and lift up and support your legs.

Interesting... I have not heard of that but agree the seats sit low up front. I'll add... I'm (we) are not vertically on the high end of the curve at 5'9"/5'5" so that may have some bearing.

To get the effect of the front spacers, you can unbolt the fronts of the sets and place a piece of wood under the front feet.(I forget the exact thickness) and climb into the seat. With the rear lifted, it will just bring you back to level, but without the rears it supports the back of your thighs nicely. Both me and my dad have Tacoma Sports with the sport seats. Definitely a noticeable difference when I go back and forth between the 2 trucks.

I certainly don’t need front seat spacers, my butt already feels wedged into the back of the seat. I am considering the rear seat spacers. Must be dependent on your body (I’m tall with long legs) and the angle you like the back of the seat at.

I may do that prior to dropping the coin on the front spacers. And, the added seat height would not be an issue for us. Thanks for the tip.

I've been searching for a year to find a more comfortable seat & had wanted leather since pull a part in Knoxville charges 38 but KS a seat...period..So when I finally found these, I thought, hell yeah, a little welding and stuff and I'd have mo better ass for long trips...Didn't have a problem going manual to power....Then I started reading about the memory in these things and was just about to return these today...And I was looking at how close they are to my OEM seats..And it hit me...Why not strip the covers off and at least try to fit them to my old seats...I'd imagine I can get the extra cushion & support I need from these leather seats...Got plenty of high density foam from my old airline job too...It was used to line hardshell cases to ship delicate instruments...Ain't in a hurry either....Anyone have any suggestions? These seats are from a 2004 Nissan Maxima..

I swear by Sheepskin Seat Covers.
Cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Spend the money to get the good covers.

My challenge is that there is a bar at the bottom that my tail bone sits on… I drive About 35k mile per year. After a long drive I feel it for days later. Going to try some seat cushions from Amazon to see how well that works… it didn’t bother me much for the first 30k miles… these last 8k have been rough

So, question to anyone in this thread. I've got a21 off-road, as of the last month or two, I started getting a discomfort in my right leg, only happens when driving. Centered around halfway up my femur on the backside below my rear end. Seat being kind of short when I sit in it. Doesn't happen when I'm at work, and I sit for long times and no issues there. I feel like it's sort of a pressure that's cutting off circulation. I'm not fat or anything. I think it's just the seat position in the taco. Been driving it for about 2 years. I'm thinking maybe raising the rear end by an inch or, as attempting to adjust the seat up in the rear has not been helping. I also sit on the computer a lot and no issues there. The hour commute to work has been miserable, discomfort persists for a couple of hours after, especially if I'm still sitting elsewhere.
Any tips? Think raising the rear would help?
