He's got some sort of raised bed system like decked or similar, and the bed mat on top of that. The bed mat looks to obscure the voids in the bed aft of the wheel wells.

THANK YOU! Took about 30 minutes!
I was a little hesitant to bend the plastic to get to that inner screw, but it looks pretty good.

Got a couple of small items from Tacoma Lifestyle yesterday. The only Meso bucket they had in stock was the straight black one, but I like its subtle look.
I'm not sure I'm going to keep the AJT key fob. It's slightly bigger than the original and I don't really dig the squarish corners.

In for pics of dent before/after. Pdr? I was this many yrs old when I realized the magic that can be done
i went with blackjack and it’s solid! Tools also literally solid (not hollow) with a grip. Seen it reviewed somewhere as being the “professional” kit. Fit perfectly snug behind the seat with my other emergency gear

    Forever modding!
I wish I had taken some. They were all door dings and one had paint transfer. I actually wasn't expecting them to offer dent repair until they called me on day 2 while prepping it for the ceramic coating after they noticed them

More prep for the incoming RLD Canopy.

Had originally planned on installing a 7-pin trailer socket in the cubby, and a cord with 7 pin plug from the canopy to allow for quick disconnect should I ever want to remove the top. But could not quite figure a satisfactory solution that would not have a length of cord exposed. So instead just went with this. Will still be somewhat fairly easy to disconnect the canopy should I ever decide to do so. Spin off 7x 1/4-20 nuts, pull the terminals, and pull the cord.

    20210808_140220.jpg

    20210808_140126.jpg

Again, not as elegant as I wanted, but it will work. And still leaves plenty of usable space in the cubby.

All connections crimped, soldered, labeled and heat shrink applied.

Going to drill, grommet, and run the canopy cord up through the bed frame here:

    E475EBE7-C090-42D3-BB62-CF660D13411C.jpg

Will leave a minimal amount of cord exposed to potential damage and will be clean.

Will be grounding the canopy, and all grounds will terminate on the roof rack or canopy.

Next up, sealing up the cubby penetrations, sealing cubby to bed, and running harness to the switchpros and blue sea fuse block under the hood. That will have me ready to pick up the canopy and start wiring in interior and exterior lights, convenience 12v, usb, etc. Some tailgate dustproofing after I have the cap on, and I'll be ready.

Next up will probably be vents and license plate. I also plan to change out the front valence and fender flares to matte black ones as well to add more contrast. Tail lights soon to follow afterwards.

I posted something about the dealer scratching my replacement headlights and breaking the clip. I will try to remember to edit a picture to show what/where clips to remove. The biggest challenge is the bumper to fender clip especially not knowing exactly how it connected- it has 3 tabs that it hooks into
This was an all day job
