Dude, I recommend getting a GFC branded Yeti travel mug at your install. It’s my first Yeti product and it’s very nice. Drive safe!

Yes definitely and check the idlers while you’re in there. Also make sure none of the belt wrapped around the crank pulley, they can take out the front main seal if it happens just right

gates K070835HD is what I run on my v6 w/ ac

I replaced all idlers before this trip, and that same belt. Heading to parts store now

Dont see any more belt, but i havent pulled skid. But I should replace it before continuing? Still have 6-7 hours before i get to Chicago. Probably not good to drive with 1 less rib on the belt?

I would recommend replacing before driving much more. Limp it to a parts store and replace. Much easier to replace before it destroys something else when it fails catastrophically. Definitely not fun but it might save you some headache a few hrs down the road. I'd also be looking for a cause as to why it ate a rib on the old one. That shouldnt be happening.. How old is your current belt?

Make sure the belt alignment is on the money when you're looking at it.. A new belt definitely shouldnt be coming apart that quickly if you just replaced before leaving on your trip

If you're not able to find the source of the problem, it might not be a bad idea to buy a spare belt for your trip

If you dont want to pull the skid, pull the fan clutch, four 12mm bolts and set it in the shroud to one side. Should be able to access the belt after that's off. If you go this route, thread a couple of the 12mm nuts back on the fan pulley so you can get the new belt on without it trying to move around
