I don't think it was the construction. That's damage from hitting the wall. The sidewall was wrinkled from being under low pressure. When you hit the wall the high spots of the wrinkles got taken off. Basically the wall acted like a razor blade and cut those chunks out.

Man that tire is roasted! Looks like another section or two was ready to pop out as well.
Cooper will be wondering what’s up

Not bad. About a 7 out of 10. Pot holes tend to kinda make a bad day for you.
Definitely get the front end checked and aligned..

Everything looked good, I got an alignment a new rim and 4 new tires so it’s handling the same as before. Sucks too because those tires still had about 15k miles left in them

    HOWDY. Glad u ok

    So few things.

    You can claim insurance.

That is common for a sudden blow out, air has to go somewhere fast.

I have seen a lot worse as an adjuster. Total chunks of rims missing. I total lossed a brand new 2019 BMW 740i from just hitting a pot hole. BMW decide to make their strut towers aluminum. The strut split the tower from the wheel impact. The way the BMW is glue together and salvage value, we totaled it.

The insurance company can decide if the will surrogate the state or city for the pothole. It may go against your policy.

make sure to get an alignment.
