The bed on my tacoma has been rattling for the past 500 miles and I finally found the noise. The bed can be lifted 1/16" off the frame on the passenger front. I googled and found that people are putting some rubber washer between the bed and frame. Should I bring the truck back for warranty, or should I just put the washer? I assume the dealer would do the same fix.. or tell me that I put too much weight in the bed. I have a 12gal water tank, RTT, fridge, toolbox etc.

Good question. As much as I hate dealerships doing stuff I can, Id let them do it while warranty still covers it. Because Warranty..

yeah.. its annoying bc I have to find a way home. Maybe I can get them to do the 10k miles service 3k miles/2 months early.

Or that can wait until you get closer to 10k miles. I noticed a HUGE rear bumper gap on the passenger side the day I got mine home. I emailed the dealer pics, primarily so they couldnt say it was from being hit. They said would get it fixed when I brought it in. Not planning on bringing in for a while because its not worth the hassle. Ill wait for the 10k.

I went to ace hardware and bought a rubber fender washer, OD: 2-1/4", ID: 1", Thickness: 1/8". I took the bolt out, lifted the bed with my knee, and put the washer between the bed and the frame. It sounded good during a short drive.

Smart play. All in less time than it would have taken to drop off and pick up at the dealer, and they still might not have understood what the problem was as in 'Can not replicate'.

Warranty is nice, but save it for the big stuff. Which 99% of folks will never have to use.......

I despise setting around the dealership for hours for some simple fix like that.
