I just got the Polygon Siskiu T7 and love it! I’m also coming from a very dated bike but the new ride seems very competent. I liked it because it had a good base of options, 1x drive train, boost wheels, adjustable air suspension, tubeless ready, dropper post and modern geometry.

yoo the commencal is looking mighty fine. can swap from 27.5 to 29 with the same frame? yes please. the older frame had the seat collar welded on to the seat tube, looks like they went away with that on these new frames.

frame only isnt available until november/december. that may be my christmas gift this year...

Edit, maybe it was the guerrilla gravity pedal head that had the seat collar welded on

yea thats a pretty good one.

you can find a dropper post that works with it in the future too if you find yourself doing a lot of downhill stuff. a dropper is a seat post that goes up and down. this allows you to move your center of gravity and control the bike a bit better. (with the seat up, you sit on it to apply pressure, push the thumb lever in, and the seat goes down. with the seat down, you stand on the pedals, no pressure on the seat, push the same lever and the seat comes back up. you want the seat up when youre pedaling and down when your standing on the pedals going downhill).

That's it, that bike is ready for anything. Rowdy if need be.

honestly, a one up dropper post is probably better than anything commensal would've offered on that bike and cheap too. He can wait and ask for that around a birthday or christmas.

A buddy of mine got that bike and I helped him set it up, seems like a super fun bike. Forgot all about that one. The left crank arm keeps falling off on his, but he also had that issue with another bike so I think it’s more him and not the bike haha.

    Aluminum? Solid?

I think they put the heat to that weld and well maybe..............well hard to say but a bolt and a weld............you would think 5 years even if you drove a lot......depends on the alloy but almost looks like a stress corrosion fracture.

Damn, some shit needs to be steel or other alloy.

    not enough.
well that's just scary. Some of the comments are saying it's a poor weld? Other's are blaming the 1.25" hitch. I'll have to do somethign ot make sure mine is in good working order...somehow. :/

Woof.... Bike delete is never good...Guess everything got a breaking point.

I know my rack flops around like a salmon behind the motorhome... I got the anti rattle MAXXHAUL 50023 Tightener Anti Rattle Stabilizer for 1.25" to 2" Hitches Helps a ton... Better take a look at the old Yakima. Pretty sure its old enough to vote. :bananadead:

    That is cool.

Finally got a new helmet. Smith MIPS. In white and wait for it....CEMENT. Sorta matches the Taco. Fits perfectly. Didn't break the bank at $110.

Figured out my rim holds air, but my valve stem was leaking. Then my front rim tape was failing and sealant coming through spokes. So I redid front and rear tape and gave em new valves. Held air and felt good on my ride today.

Now I gotta dial in my bent chainring so I stop dropping chains... really wish Norco woulda put full ISCG05 mount so I could run a bash guard. Biggest gripe with the Optic.
