Looking for any input on some weird new noise the engine has developed. Sounds like a bad vacuum leak/sucking noise but I have checked the whole vacuum system and am fairly confident it is not. Originally I thought potentially bad idler/water pump, so I briefly ran it without the front accessory belt and the noise is still there abs much more noticeable. Noise is fairly constant irrelevant of driving mode as long as the engine is running. Tried to use block of wood/long screwdriver as a stethoscope to pinpoint but not much luck. Single previous owner as well as myself pretty religious about full synthetic oil changes, although it gets wheeled pretty hard. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

First clip is with belt on, second without.

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me but hard to tell on the short video.
Do you have a check engine light on?

Wow that sounds bad. Since the noise is still there with the belt off, I’d guess it’s an internal engine noise. When driving, is there a significant loss of power? You could try spinning the crank pulley with a ratchet, see if it’s super hard to turn. Pull the spark plugs so you’re not fighting compression.

At the very least, start with an engine degreaser. Leaving caked on dirt from offroading is never a wise idea for the engine components or frame and likely the cause of your issue.
