Is this number a scam?

some lady from "asset acceptance" left a message on my phone for my mother saying "this message is for so n so, if you're not this person hang up. If you are this person, please do not listen to this message in the presence of others, I'm calling from asset acceptance..."


some sort of debt collector. My mother has no debts. I googled the #, similar things said about this number.

has anybody else here gotten messages like that?

 

I wouldn't worry about calling back. If they are legit they won't leave you alone and you'll have a chance to talk to a real person instead of a silly ass message like that
