I'm about to swap out my upholstery for leather on a couple seats I picked up...I decided on that after I read up on the memory issue in most power seats these days..Gonna have a upholstery guy to add support and try to figure a lumbar fix where I don't need a towel or a cushion...I DID stumble up on something that has really helped my back and sciatica that surprised me...On longer trips I was having heel pain in my accelerator foot...And after awhile it ran up into my low back...Well, I have Weathertech mats and their fine but hard...I tried putting stuff under my heel also..Didn't work..I have a couple of high density foam mats for the kitchen and bath...So I took one and kinda traced the Tech mat....Its freakin ugly and I still need a cushion , but that mat helped my pain about 50 percent...Does anyone else feel pressure on their heel from a hard surface ?

    All stock, baby!
I do as well on longer trips, but probably not to the same extent that you do. I have found it matters quite a bit which shoes I am wearing; I have a pair of deck shoes that I have found I should not drive with for more than an hour or so. My tennis shoes are better, but surprisingly the best ones are some walking shoes that I normally wear to work. I think they just support and fit the shape of my heel better.

Seat position matters quite a bit too, much more so than when I was younger. I sometimes find my foot angle is greater than it should be, and moving the seat forward a very small amount gets my foot flatter on the pedal and feels a lot better.

There are a number of message threads that talk about raising the front of the seat mounts, the rear ones, or both on a Tacoma for better comfort. You may want to look into that as well.
