the larger diameter of the wheel will show smaller variances more of course. So I'd do that first.

Yes, that would eliminate the possibility of it being the wheel. It's just easier to see with the wheel on since it will move a greater distance.

I just sat a box next to the tire that is taller than the sidewall and then a scrap piece of angle lightly touching the rim. The gap will grow or there will be drag on the wheel. Basically the redneck way of what @Squeaky Penguin posted with his fancy tool.

My roof rack was/is my only real regret with my truck as well. I took it off several months ago but left the brackets on the roof while I tried to think of the best way to plug the holes that I drilled for it. Ended up using rivnuts and slim head bolts.

I had a Smittybilt rack though which had a much higher profile and made a lot of wind noise, plus it killed my MPGs on the highway. Like a big air brake on the roof.

And yeah, our roofs have very thin metal. A few of the spots where holes were drilled got indented, which sucks. If I could go back and undo anything it would be that damn roof rack.

The Prinsu one looks sharp at least.

A couple weeks back there were some folks talking about brake light wiring and I meant to ask a question but wanted to read ahead and make sure my questions weren't already answered.

I'll go back and try to find it but in the meantime I'll throw out what I need.

The older models have a 5 wire plug and the later years jump to a 6 wire configuration but it looks like the 6th pin is just a jumper wire. I have a some ANZO taillights that are wired for the older style 5pin plug and I was hoping I just need to add the jumper wire for the 6th pin to make it work but I'm doubting it's that easy (because it never is)

Most of that might not make sense.
I'll also dig through and upload some pictures of what I'm talking about

Would you mind sharing where you found the tailgate camera? I've looked a few times and haven't seen one for a while. I was beginning to think I'd have to find a way to get a 2nd gen tailgate latch to fit

Got my SC300 brake booster installed and tested the brake master cylinder. I also took advantage and installed a new clutch master cylinder. I'll do the slave once I get out of work. Still some complexities to navigate with all the hard lines in that area, had to slightly bend the clutch line to clear the vacuum input to the booster etc. (the SC booster would only go in the Tacoma if positioned upside down).

I also noticed that if I plug my driver's side taillights in snug the blinker shorts out and causes hyper flash like the bulb is burned out (I thought it was until I replaced it and the problem didn't go away, separated the plug just a hair and the blinker fixes itself)

I have the ANZO lights on my ‘02. I snipped a wire on the OEM tail light, depinned it from the connector, and added the wire to the new tail light. After adding the 6th wire to the 5 wire tail light, I jumped it to an existing tail light wire.

edit: pretty sure the missing pin is just a ground wire, so all you have to do is add the wire and jump it to a ground wire on the tail light.

@BeLance89 sounds simple enough. Do you happen to have any pictures or remember what wire specifically you jumped to. Was it + / - any extra details would help.

mom pretty sure it was a ground wire. I don’t think I have any pictures but I’ll pull a tail light for you and take a pic.

I’m not to sure why the door seal has changed over the years. It’s the original seal, as I am the original owner of the truck. The only thing I think of I have sprayed “rust check” under the seal before in the past. Perhaps that has caused the change?
