Same here been with the same insurance for 25 years and he is always giving me decent prices. I have shopped around just to see if I can get cheaper somewhere else and nobody comes close to his so I stay.

Not sure which province you are talking about. In Ontario I don't think the crown has anything to do with running the insurance. They do promise to drop the insurance by 15% if elected and then it never happens lol.

I bought it from my cuz about 3 years ago.
He's has the car since the mid 90's.
He brought it up from Florida then and worked on it painstakingly to get her where she is now. Not a numbers matching car but a period correct one. 327 M21 4spd 12 bolt car with power steering and brakes front disc conversion. L79 high rev cam 10.5:1 flat tops roller rockers. Drop your right foot and she gets pretty light in the front end. Not a strip car but she pulls good for a big cruiser.
Contemplating an LS...but part of me likes the original stuff. Im kinda torn.
As far as a fortune? Not as rare as a 409 4spd but rare enough just being a 65. Lots of 64s and 66s but your hard pressed to find 65s. Not sure why that is...to me the best looking one they made. I should have it appraised again as this stuff has gone way up in price. If I was to sell...I ask 45 or 50 for it...I think...lol...right now she's planted firmly in my name. That's not gonna change any time soon.
    Thanks for your interest...

No matter if the numbers match she is still worth some bucks. My brother has a 1973 Challenger it came with a six banger, automatic and vinyl roof back in 1980 he bought it from Alberta. Over the years 1989 he took the 6 out and put in a 340 Wedge blue motor and left it automatic, changed the rally wheels for Craygars. 2007 he worked at a Dilawri Dodge dealer in Ottawa the year the 3 rd Generation Challengers came out. He was approached by the dealer's owner and was offered to take the car in and free of charge paint it to the Burgundy color of which is car was originally painted. The body shop took the vinyl roof off added a AAR hood rear spoiler, RT insignias etc etc. Once done the deal was that the car at the sit in the showroom besides the new version for a year. He accepted. Here are pics of it today. If I ever find pics of the original I will post but this all I have enjoy.

I should look around for the restored 1974 Datsun 260Z 2+2 in my saved files. The car was bought from original owner in Calgary, Alberta in 1980 for the wife. She drove as her everyday car around Calgary till we moved back to Ontario in 1985. Kept driving everyday till 1990 when we had it completely restored. Cost 13,000.00 for the work. Kept it till 2006 and sold it to a friend of mine nephew who took the original 6 and put in a 350 with 4 speed. That was the last I heard from the car. It is around Ottawa area somewhere.

As a follow up with Intact, I decided to give their tattle tale app a try. With basically staying under 10 over (I usually drive like an old man anyways) in any speed zone it is estimating me an additional 24% discount. ~1400 - 24% fwiw
