I've got a ton of those while looking for a job.

I would broaden your search or change the wording.

What I wound up doing was to search for a "field service tech" job which might make use of my automotive technician background. It helped as I was contacted by a company to apply for their position, I did and got the job. I felt like they wanted to hire me after the second phone interview.

Check out Leidos. Im working with the FAA on a contract, but I work FT for them. I dont have any aviation experience either. They might have full remote jobs too, if you dont want to relocate..

I can look for you too/you can put me as a referral, and we can split the bonus if there is one. PM if you feel like it

Great company to work with. There are quite a few other aviation jobs with them, two locations being in Georgia.

I could ask one of the guys at work about that. He transferred to the space side from the 16 program. But if I had to guess, dev is done but manufacturing/maintaining is still going on for customers.
