    Hello there,

I just got the Black Rhino Arsenal wheels 17' and I'd like to hear your tire suggestions that fits a stock suspension tacoma, no lift. Ideally I'd want something in between off road performance and road comfort.

    Let's hear them!

    Thanks in advance!

Any p-rated all terrain will likely suit your needs. I'm not sure why you mention your aftermarket wheels.

The Falkens others are mentioning are pretty good, i'm running my first set right now and no complaints. I ran the BFG ATs (now KO2s) for years on my other vehicle and i loved those, I went with Falkens this time soley because of price.

I've run the following tires on my Tacoma.

    1. Falken Wild Peaks
    2. BFG KO2

and we've run the following on our T4R:

    1. Toyo AT3
    2. Yokohama M/T G003

and the following tires on our 80Series:

    1. A shit ton of tires since the late 90s
    2. Currently Kenda Klever RT KR601

Out of the five I've listed I would rate the Falkens as hands down the worst and the Yokohamas as the best.

Was recommended the Yokohamas by a fellow LC owner and have been nothing but pleased and surprised at how well these do as a true dual purpose tire. The Kendas are a close 2nd...again, not mentioned a lot (if ever), have great on road manners, with excellent off road traction and durability. . I like both the Yokos and the Kendas so much I'm thinking of swapping out the BFGs on the Taco with less than 25K miles on them.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires have been my go-to for a few years. The 4S is only a couple of years old but the AT3 has been around for a while. Great grip and probably the closest thing I've found to a dedicated winter tire in terms of performance while being considered all-terrain.

I really like kenda klever tires, seems like a very well designed R/T. From what I understand they only come in E load in 265/70/17.

I’ve been a fan KO2s for a while, had other tires as well of course.

Any experience with Klevers in the snow? I know they don’t come with the 3 peak symbol. I love KO2s, but the snow performance could be improved a bit. The duratracs I had were amazing in snow in 2WD.

No complaints. I also never have had issues with the ko2s in the snow..,.

Not that I had issues, KO2s are my go to tire currently, I think it’s an underrated tire. I would like the snow performance of duratracs though:oops:.

The best tires if you do mostly on road driving. Awesome mileage, performance and they look not bad at all.

My '14 F150 ran these before I traded her in and I couldn't have been happier. I didn't do any off roading in it, it was a highway cruiser but these tires were quieter than Freddy Mercury's fart, they rode very smooth and I don't think they'd lost any tread in 12K miles.

I went with P265/70R17 Falken Wild Peak AT3's. They rubbed with my wheels so the shop adjusted the alignment and trimmed the front bumper. Had to remove the front mud flaps as well. Totally worth it.

I reckon he's driving mostly on the road. Like most of us. I just rotated my tires today. I have Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3.
