No, access cabs look 10x better than the crew cabs but I think a majority of people have a need for the extra seat given the number of crew cabs on the road vs access cabs.

I only got the access cab because I wanted the least amount of passenger space.

The back seat in my truck would just be a greasy stain.

Pain in the ass for loading into the backseat in tight spaces.

    I wouldn't buy one again.

Also resale is much stronger with double cabs.

I've had a couple standard cabs, an access cab (or whatever they called it in 1981) , and a couple double cabs. The standard cab is like a small town in the country, the access cab like the suburbs, and the double cab like the city. I prefer the city or the country over the suburbs. I was able to put a pair of sweet ass home made speakers in the access cab though.

I debated access cab vs double cab when I bought my 2016 SR5. My primary reason for buying another pickup was to tow a boat I had recently acquired and I figured I was more likely to haul people than inanimate objects. I ended up getting the double cab and I think I made the right choice. I have to admit that the 5' bed makes it much less of a pickup, but it works for my use case. When I bought my 2020 OR I wanted a 6mt and so access cab was not an option.

I would like to see an Access Cab with sliding back doors instead of suicide style.

Land limo (dclb) is so long on a trail you might as well go full size truck. Double cab short bed is more SUV then truck. Can’t sleep in the bed with just a shell. Back seats in the doubles are also hardly usable for tall adults. Just no rear leg room at all. Access cab is the perfect platform for anyone without crotch goblins.

no, double cabs are just an SUV with a bed. access cab with no rear seats is the best setup. that way you only have room for one good friend and no one can ask you for rides.

    Love my access cab.
I can load up 2 10-foot kayaks in the back. Ez.
I can load up 8-foot sticks of lumber in the back. Ez.
I can load up a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back. Ez.
I look good in it too..

Kids are grown and gone - cab area perfect for groceries or what-not.

If I win the lottery tho I'm gonna by a Double Cab TRD O.R. to compliment my Access Cab.

If I did it all over again, I would buy the double cab long bed. I don't mind the length; I think it looks pretty cool. With saying that, I think the Access cab long bed is very good looking too, and so that's what I chose.
