    That is a good question.

    Supposedly it is because on the end, it has a soft shackle. So you have no need for anything but the winch line to connect it to something else.

    This is the main benefit that I see. I dont think I would use the tree saver feature built into it. Dunno yet.

    i was planning on trying to figure out how to make a soft shackle to just do this when i got my winch. it's a brilliant winch line.

    With version 2 having the replaceable soft shackle on the end, it seems promising.
