I guess I will miss having manual. Always have wanted a Tacoma trd OR and finally saved enough to get one. I guess a change every now and then doesn’t hurt. I will enjoy the truck either way. As for the KDMax, how do I find places that do that? As I’m new to the truck world, Im unsure of what it is and how to get it. Truly enjoying learning from this Tacoma world.

That’s the exact model I own and I LOVE it. In years past if you’d told me I’d be driving a white vehicle I’d have called you a liar, but the. Again back then I couldn’t have ever envisioned owning a truck.

However, there have been some issues reported with some 2nd gens with the single stage white paint (3rd gens too) so thoroughly inspect the areas where there have been some adhesion issues. Directly below the windows on the doors, edges of the doors, and the areas on the cab that are just behind the edges of the door when you open the doors. Luckily my truck has had no such issues.

Also worth throwing in the typical advice to thoroughly inspect the frame for rust.

    Good luck with your decision!

Double Cab long bed is same length as a 1/2 ton crew cab. You lose all of the advantages of having a small truck. Might as well buy a 1/2 ton and get the increased payload and towing capacity if the truck is going to be the same size. I've never felt handicapped by the smaller bed. If I can't find a way haul it in my 5' bed another 1' isn't going to help. That is what the 10' utility trailer is for.

So…realized that the super white trd OR 4x4 XP trail package with tread running board has the chrome bumper. Its not at a bad price. The car is in transit and not at the dealer and I did put a deposit to hold. I guess it was also my fault for not realizing that all the trucks don’t come with one color bumper. Most cars in transit (at that dealer) and same for most near by places only have that chrome bumper arriving unless it is an SR5 or something called XP predator OR which is way more.

**just to add: there is a truck coming in. Has the premium package plus the predator stuff and it is still a trd OR 4x4. However, it is more expensive (more than I would want it to be). Is it worth the extra expense over the super white trd OR with xp trail tread package with chrome bumper?
Any thoughts or guidance? A friend told me to stay with the chrome and save the money for mods.

Apologies in advance for the millions of questions.
