I have a '21 SR5 4x4 DCSB and am about to order a 3.5 inch Rough Country lift kit (with coil-over shocks and upper control arms) and 295-75 BFG AT/KO2s on the stock black wheels. Will I need spacers to avoid rubbing since I am using stock wheels? I saw 1.25" spacers that didn't seem too extreme. I am not planning on any extreme off-roading. Just mild trails and paths for hunting with a lot of on-road daily driving.

thats a 34"+ tire, you will likely rub regardless of spacers without any cutting. go skinny-ish 255/75 or 255/80 (32" and 33" respectively) and you will have height+ clearance + not so sluggish with the gears + a slightly lighter tire

Thanks. The converter I saw said it's 33.4 inches tall. Is it really 34+? I really want BFG AT/KO2s so the sizing is on the limited size.

If you get caster-correcting UCAs you'll be able to run 285/75/16 without rubbing

Spacers will help you not rub on your control arms but you'll 100% rub on the inner fenders and cab mount. You'll need to do some cutting to ensure no rubbing.

I say go with the 295's. Spacers are going to help push wheel away from UCA. You will need to do a CMC and some trimming but will be worth it.

How would a heavier, more expensive, louder, gas and performance killing tire that requires irreversible modifications be "worth it" for an on road daily driver?

Its all about the looks man lol. I did not read all his thread about not off roading. 295's would be over kill then.

Definitely more about looks than off-road performance. :)

If you're doing mild offroading and fire roads, the truck is fine as is. Add a skid or two, done.

Now, if you just want it to LOOK cooler, you need a new front bumper, lights, a winch, and sliders to go with your lift.

Pulled the trigger on the Rough Country 3.5 lift with all new shocks and upper control arms. Went ahead and added in some 1.25 spacers just in case they are needed. I'm stuck trying to decide between the 285/75 and 295/75 BFG AT/KO2. We will see what's in stock when I need them.
