Wal mart ammo?

I went at lunch ot pick up some .40 and where they usually have most of the ammo under lock and key the case was unlocked and pretty much empty

I grabbed some .22 while I was there...all they had left was one box of 9mm one of .380 and a few random boxes.

has anyone one else notiecd this at their local 'mart?

 

Well maybe one of the workers...didnt lock back up the cabinet....Shame Shame on them....But yeah, they are usually locked....

 

well yea thats how they have alwasy been around here too but I was reading on some gun forum about it not being locked up and real low on stock. So when I went to mine today I saw the same thing.

When was the last time yall checked?

there is a wal mart by my house that keeps most of the ammo behind a counter but the one close to where I work doesnt even have guns... but they usually have a great selection on ammo.

 

is it one that has the ammo behind the counter or no? this one didnt have a counter maybe thats the difference.

after work im checking the one by my house and next week ill go to another one thats in a "bad" part of town and see what set up they have, I know they dont sell guns...just ammo

 

yea, I usually get 100 rd pack of .40 cal for like 27 bucks

I went in once about a month ago and, like you said, low on ammo and unlocked cabinet (not behind counter). I have, however, been back since and it's locked and stocked.

 

ours was low, but had plenty of federal .40 and federal 9mm.

 

hmm maybe its just unlocked bc they are so low on stock.

they had a ton of .22 so I went ahead and picked up some of that. I never get tired of shooting my 10/22

 

I don't even go to WalMart to buy ammo. I have a couple of connections and I usually can buy it cheaper then walmart and they have it in stock. I don't have to play the I wonder if they have what I need today. I heard they are trying to get out of all guns and ammo sooner or later.

 

My walmart just recently got a locking cabinet and they still keep half of the ammo on a regular shelf. I have almost always taken it to the registers at the front of the store.

 

It used to be behind a counter, but since they remodeled, it's in a locked cabinet, next to the counter. Have not seen it unlocked.

 

We ran low here as well, I was in earlier and noticed about the only thing left was .22. The cabinet was locked as usual. I think people freaked a bit after the AZ shooting, thinking a quick lock-down on guns is coming so they are cleaning out the readily available stuff quickly.

 

Usually always locked in the Walmarts around here, and sometimes they have good stock and sometimes they are really low. I haven't really payed attention to what days of the week when they have the most/least.
