Bilstein 5100s on 2nd notch with OME 888 coils: is a cab mount chop necessary to fit 16x8 -25?

Hey all, I’m a new TRD OR 4x4 owner. Wasn’t exactly sure if this is a suspension or wheel/tire question.

I bought a set of SCS F5s in 16x8 -25 before I bought a lift, because I thought they were cool (and I thought offset wouldn’t matter too much since it’s a truck).

I ended up buying my 5100s on the second notch with the OME 888 coils the next day, because I’m eager to get these wheels on.

I’m planning on running either a 265/75/16 or 255/75/16. I’m down to get a cmc, but I just want to know if it’s necessary so I can get it done before I get tires for the wheels.

Also, any other tire size recommendations are welcome. I don’t care too much about 33’s since it’s primarily a daily driver.

 

With 265/75r16 and -25 offset wheels, you will need to remove mud flaps and use a heat gun to push your fender liners back near the cab mount.

I don't have experience with 255/75r16, so I can't help with those tires.

 

I’ve got these same wheels and tires. I’ve removed mud flaps and and bent plastic and still get a slight rub on full lockout. I’ll be lifting using this same lift. In order to get a more level look, should you do new leaf springs as well?

 

You’re running this on stock suspension? What trim level do you have?

 

‘14 TRD off road. I removed the mudflaps and just bent some of the inside fender well with a heat gun from harbor freight. Still a slight rub in certain situations. I could have bent/cut more but I’m just going to lift instead.
