I was offroading for the first time in my Taco. When a guy in a ZR2 Colorado got stupid and did a gravel donut and sprayed the entire driver's side of my truck with dirt, rocks and gravel. I was sitting in my truck at the time and it was the same thing... seeing that wall of rock and dust coming at me in slow motion. I'm just thankful the windows didn't break. But there are tons of rock chips and 7 or so really good dings/dents on my driver's side, from front to back.

 

How is driving with the window cracked any different than using the fresh air intake? I'm sorry for your trouble with the dealership. That must be really frustrating.

Is that a passenger side stealth MESO sandal ? If so then put that puppy in the for sale section. That is very hard to find.

What the sh*t?! I'd be so furious. Actually, just reading this made me mad for you. It's one thing to get your own truck battle scars, but to have that kind of damage due to dumdums suck.

 

Same here. Id actually have pulled the guy from his truck and gotten his insurance information. And or kicked his ass.

 

Here in central Alberta in Canada we go through this nearly every summer. Fires and a disaster, the smoke is extremely difficult to deal with. I work in the second largest hospital in Canada I can tell you that as an technician that has to deal with it ...it's a PITA. Luckily I stocked well ahead with a substantial amount of carbon filters to deal with it. Carbon filters are very expensive...but they help tremendously!

 

Off topic, and admittedly don't know much about Canada. My son just turned me on to Letterkenny. I'll never be the same.....Pitter Patter.

Have you tried driving with your windows closed all the time just to make sure that what they’re saying is true?

 

The "Fresh Air Intake" let's the air into the system before the AC evaporator core, so the "fresh air" should be dehumidified before it enters the cabin.

 

TMU, Not a big deal. Am/fm cassette… deal breaker.

 

Trust me, I was pissed. The other people in our off-road group thought there was going to be a fight. To his credit, he owned up to it, apologized profusely several times throughout the rest of the ride, didn't try talk his way out of it, and offered to pay for the damage.

I haven't gotten an estimate yet. Been absolutely stupid busy lately. Will probably (or at least try to) get an estimate this week.
