My (ham) radio is bolted to the back side of the console between the seats. I tried taking a picture but I'm not a contortionist. The back of the console is flat enough for a secure mount. Get mounting hardware from the outfit that does the wiring for police cruisers, or any place that mounts car stereos, or check with the local body shop.
The picture that is included is the radio's 20210815_190422.jpg control head mounted on a goose neck available from Amazon. It mounts to the front passenger side seat bolt. The Mic lives in the cup holders on the console, requiring no hardware.
This can be a diy operation, but paying a pro to do the installation is, IMHO, well worth it, as no cable or wiring shows at all.
This setup has been trouble free for many miles.
