Hi everybody, so, I got new tires and wheels about a month ago and had them put new TPMS modules in since the old ones are well, old, so I left them in the stock wheels. Damn tire dealer charged me 60 bucks apiece and "programmed" them to 40 psi. I told him I wanted to run 32 psi and ask why he couldn't program to that pressure since they are programmable and he gave me some runaround excuse I didn't understand and told him I still wanted 32 psi like it says on the door jamb which they did so now my light stays on all the time.
So, if they are programmable why couldn't he put the psi in that I asked for??? Doesn't make sense to me.
Also, now that they are programmed to 40 psi can they be changed to the proper psi that the door jamb calls for if I take it to a different dealer??

I'd take it to a tire shop like Discount and get them programmed right. It doesn't take that long.

    You can set them yourself.
There should be a reset button in the truck.

My old brain forgot to mention that I did go from 16 in wheels to 17 in wheels if that makes a difference.:frusty:

If you did this and it didn't work then the tire dealer screwed up the installation.

The TPMS Sensors are probably not registered properly. They screwed the pooch, make them correct it and show you. When you leave the dealer there should not be a TPMS Light on. When I had mine done in my wives Highlander they had to redo it twice before they got it right.

Should work, I do it on mine everytime I rotate my tires because front and rear run different pressures.
