Thanks. I’ll post a finished picture soon. I wanted to dump the airbox and make another but the sensor stopped me. I’d have to source a replacement weld on flange for the sensor first.

    I will likely keep it 1 of 1. :)

Not knowing how the lights are internally wired. Provided the pictures provided are correct. Seen many that are wrong. The extra relay should work but I can’t believe KC got it that wrong. I assume these are led lights. Do you know how many watts the low and high beams draw?

    low beam
the yellow wire center pin and white wire - are the low light setting. Power goes through the 3 amp fuse and when switched to - white wire and straight to the lights. Low beams should illuminate.

    High beam
The yellow wire center pin and green wire = are the high setting. Power goes through the 3 amp fuse to terminal 86 (+ side of coil) on the relay. Terminal 85 (- side of coil) on the relay goes directly to ground. When the switch is set to the = the relay coil is energized letting the 25 amp power go through terminals 30 and 87 of the relay. This should be the high beam lights.

Added the $24 ebay cargo lights. Already had the pigtail so maybe 10 minutes on the install. Pretty bright for a China clone.

I had a pro grill on mine. No garnish and it worked fine. Non OEM garnish gave me an error that wouldn’t go away, no TSS etc.

I found this survey of what is out in the market to be useful. Also, shipping is a killer so picking a slider made as locally as possible is not a bad strategy either:

    https://***************/2020/11/24/2nd-3rd-gen-tacoma-rock-sliders/

Edit: I am not sure why the URL is blocked but I hope I didn't do anything wrong in posting the link. Still, a good quick list that provides an overview to a lot of slider options.

Anyone order from the website casesforless ? I ordered a couple of pelican boxes (bx135 and bx 80) and I am awaiting shipment. I had a short conversation via email with someone after I was like, hey when is this gonna ship. She told me 8/5 for one and 8/20 for the other. No sign of the first, no tracking number etc. I’ve emailed them again and have had no response. I just want my flocking cases.

Finally getting around to posting some of my favorite pictures from my 7 day Colorado trip (Engineer Pass, Imogene Pass, Cinnamon Pass, Ophir Pass, etc).

Suspension did amazing during this trip and wasn't sagging when loaded up with gear. I played around with the DSC controllers and got it to a point where the ride was very comfortable off-road (caught myself going 30-45mpg on the trail cause It was so soft) Definitely took harder lines than necessary but just wanted to see what the truck could do since the lift, bigger tires + proper armor this time around (and I accidentally passed 30 deg off camber). Dual battery came in clutch since I left my scene lights on for hours (and once all night because I forgot to turn one pair off). CB Radio performed as expected. It rained pretty much everyday and I forgot my awning at home :( but at least one of our rigs had theirs.

    Some things to work on:
    - Need to organize my gear so my truck isn't a mess during trips.
    - Get an inclinometer. I'm sure the truck can get to 45 degrees without flipping but I would like to know the actual angle.
    - Need faster access to first aid kit, cut my hand on the trip and couldn't get to my kit because of all the gear in the back seat.
    - Need to re-gear (going with 5.29s). Was mostly in 4th gear on the highway, 5th sometimes but would drop to 4th whenever accelerating. Average mpg was around 11-12.

Overall, pretty happy where the truck sits, functionally and aesthetically. Although, it's about to get crazy in the next couple of months when my front and rear bumpers arrive (after 4-5 months) and for the 5.29 gears get installed.
