Coin Tray Holster Mod

Why is it when a well thought out idea is shared that there is always someone critiqueing what has been clearly thought out prior and I’m quite sure he is very proficient with piece of mind while rolling in a crazy ass world!!✌Well done on post my friend!!

 

I like the idea. My carry gun will not fit there but good idea. In regards to one in the chamber I look at it like this...not having one in the chamber is like not wearing your seatbelt... because you will have time to put it on before the accident. I took up my console and drilled a few holes to mount a cheap uncle Mike's kydex holster inside the edge of my console. Works amazingn completely out of sight, and very natural to grab for.

 

nice mod! I just purchased a Kimber Micro 380 and it should fit in there with a little modification. I would also line with some felt.

 

Very cool, any mods in the last couple years? I've seen some recent facebook (i think? although not sure they would allow it) ads popping up of some kind of "holster" that will hold your gun with magnets, it can then be pushed against the holster to chamber a round and then obviously quickly pulled off. Anyone seen this or have one?

 

I don’t have the specific magnetic holster you’re speaking of BUT, I do have a gun magnet that could be mounted anywhere. I have one mounted to the nightstand on my bed. It’s strong enough that I could probably hold a full AR on it if it were positioned differently. I was thinking I may mount the extra magnet I have on the tray below the ignition. I have an IWB holster that clips there and works but will slide back and forth in the turns. Can post pics if needed.
