For the rear diff? 75W140 synthetic from a major brand (Shell, Quaker, Valvoline, Lucas...) depending on whichever is on sale. I got a case of Quaker State from Grainger on clearance at the equivalent of $10 a bottle:

Look in your owner's manual for capacity. Round up to account for spillage.

I'm too cheap, as the bottle is $4. less. That's $20. savings on both diffs.

I get it to a certain extent, im frugal, but i spend on things that make my life easier or better QOL. $20 every couple of years? No brainer for me. The way i see it, can't take the money with you when you die, whats the point...

Not bashing any other brand, but I have used Amsoil oil and lubes in my current, and previous 3 vehicles, and motorcycles since the late 1990's. Extremely happy and have not had any issues in any of these vehicles.

Amsoil isn't the cheapest, but based on my experience, I am a solid fan. I do not have any personal experience with any other synthetic oil or lube brands, so can't make any direct comparisons.

If you need the squeeze bag to get to the tight spaces you can always buy 1, and reuse it for qts of oil out of regular bottles.
Funny thing is motor oil in a box/bag is cheaper, but since this bag makes life easier so it’s a little more.
I just splurged. I was please that this is a real sleeper synthetic gear oil, majority PAO with esters and organic compounds. Very happy with the product.

Totally, that's a good brand. I'm not one to put much value in speciality brands like Amsoil. Sure that's good too but not worth more than any other good brand. The squeeze bags are a new thing. I think we will see more of coming out soon.
Havoiline oil comes in a 6qt bag in a box for $20 you can order at Walmart.

The super tech brand I'm leaning is pretty good too. Usually made by Warren distribution.

Yes, I run Kirkland syn in my engine all the time but I will jump on any good deal.

Was going to do this soon. I have the ECGS bushing and this is from their website…

I’ll probably go with the Amsoil in the bags.

I always used amsoil severe duty gear oil in my 01 tundra. Had nearly 300k miles in 19 years with a lot of 1000 mile round trips towing sleds to quebec during the winter, plus local trips in the summer towing my boat. Severe duty is military grade.
