I searched and couldn't find a Thread Showing Replacing Interior Lights With LEDs.
    Can anyone direct me?
I am especially interested on how to access the present lights, getting the covers off.

The map lights removal is incorrect procedure. Many here have reported it has caused more gremlins than proper function. This is the correct way:

Just FYI I replaced every light in my truck with precision LED’s last year. Working a few months a map light failed. They promptly sent me another. Just a few weeks ago another map light failed. Around the same time a license plate light failed which is a pain. I put the stock bulbs back in for now. I don’t feel like bothering with LED anymore. They weren’t cheap either.

I replaced mine with VLED's. Also not cheap but never had one fail. I got my license plate light from tacoma lifestyle.
