Hey All, I'm upgrading my roof rack from an OEM to an UpTop Overland Bravo. I'm getting some conflicting advice on the drip molding. In their fantastic installation video UpTop's installer shows how to punch out holes in the drip molding to accept and seal around the spacers. On the flip side, I've been told the drop molding won't help prevent leaks and is pretty much only needed for aesthetics. The punch is cheap, but the moldings are $100 each from Toyota.
Anyone have any experiences here they can share with me?
