Do these exist? I have E rated Cooper AT3 4's that I will put on steel wheels for trips. But daily driving I'd like something that looks great but isn't going to crush my MPG's.

I had Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs before and they were AWFUL on the road. Loud, wore terrible and hydroplaned with ease. I love the Cooper's but they look boring. First world problems.

If you'll be swapping back and forth, why even bother limiting yourself to C rating only? Unless you need the LT rating for some reason you could go with some non-LT tires. I love my SL rated Falken Wildpeak AT3's. They're cheap, quiet, fairly light, look great, comfy and so far have done excellent off road - even over some very rocky situations.

    Also check out:
    Toyo Open Country AT II
    Hankook Dynapro AT2
    Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT
    Pirellie Scorpion All Terrain Plus
Cooper Discoverer AT3 (they have C and E versions available but both are heavy)

That's a good point. I'm honestly not sold on keeping a second set in storage so I should be more realistic.
I have extra weight on the truck (Bumpers, winch, sliders, cap, racks) so I just want to get some thing that makes sense. I used to travel and teach a lot for work and I'd teach out of the truck but COVID has crushed that!

The Pirellie Scorpion's caught my eye at Sam's Club. They have a good sale on them now but you can only order them when they're in stock; I wonder if DTD would price match?
The Toyo's look pretty sweet. I'll look into those as well as the Falken Wildpeak AT3's. I know the prices on Falkens has risen lately.

Yeah, I didn't want to poo-poo your wheel swap idea but my first thought was "that's a LOT of work!". I come from a sports car background so I'm used to swapping wheels/tires but ever since getting my Tacoma I definitely wouldn't want to swap wheels and tires often. Maybe it'd be different if I had a big shop with a lift but with what I'm working with it's a bit of a pain and I'd rather be packing/prepping for the trip in other ways rather than swapping wheels.

Sounds like I don't have the same weight as you but I do have skids, sliders and carry a fairly heavy load when we go out camping. My Wildpeaks have been great although I do sometimes worry about their durability just because they aren't E rated. I actually just took a risk and picked up some LT255/85R16 Geolandar MTs. I've been tempted to try out skinnies and a deal popped up that I couldn't resist. I have a feeling I'll like that they're skinny and that they're taller but not so sure how it'll go with weight and ride quality. I'll definitely have better peace of mind on rougher terrain regardless of how warranted it actually is though.

I'm in a similar boat. So far it looks like I'm going to go with sl rated to keep the weight off, can find a c load I like

I have a weird tire recommendation. I’ve had great luck with my kuhmo at51 tires. Tire rack had them for $127 a pop and weigh around 38 lbs. obviously softer tread but after 5-6 K on mine they still ride and look great

Yeah I did it on my R32 but at my buddies shop. I don't have as much time or desire nowadays. Ha! I've thought about skinnies but with the average slow speed here in the Southeast being 80mph I dunno. I'm on 16's so options are fewer.

    It's tough man. Plus backorder.

    Interesting! Got any pics??

I’ll be interested to see what you think about the look of these. I just looked them up and definitely know my opinion on the aesthetics… probably why they weren’t on the list I posted earlier (which came from a spreadsheet I put together a while back when I was looking at tire options and trying to make a decision).
